Well, difficult for me as I have not spent a lot of time listening to them !...

I love the Counterpoint gear, as I know that Mike ELLIOTT who was the Chief Engineer at Counterpoint, is a very very good designer....
After the Counterpoint closing, he had continued to provide true state of the art upgrades for all the Counterpoint gear during many years : and I can assure you that these upgrades were absolutely fantastic ! (I own the fully upgraded version of the Counterpoint DA-10 DAC with the 24/96 Rapture Premium card, and it is the best DAC we have eared to date, including the big Wadias and so on...).

But regarding the preamp / amp gear, I do not feel confident with the transistors based Counterpoint units: I trust the Counterpoint tube gear, but not the transistor gear...

Regarding the Conrad-Johnson gear, it is the same, and in addition I have always been obliged to upgrade the CJ preamp (including tube ones) to get the best from them !

So I am not enthusiastic with these 2 units...

Sorry, but you should ask for other advices on this Forum, or on other high end Forums, from people having more experience with these 2 units...
