Unfortunately, I have never got the chance to lesson to it, so I cannot give you any advice on it.
Nevertheless, the T3i should be the model lower (below) the regular T2 preamplifier in the THRESHOLD preamplifiers range.
Based on what I know on the THRESHOLD T2 preamp, I would just recommend an upgrade similar to the T2 upgrade...
